I guess it might even be a better experience currently living in Greece than in Turkey. In Greece it is relatively peaceful and there is democracy and freedom of press. (It's not even a satire but rather a description of the actual state.) And corruption is surely as strong in Turkey than in Greece.

First they need to admit that "Europeans" is just a word, not a reality. There's Greeks, Germans, French, Dutch, Swedes, Serbians etc etc, but there are no "Europeans". You are a European if you live in Europe. That's the basis of it all. For example I may be a German, but one of my best friend is an Italian and I have Polish or Ukrainian friends too. Not only the economy, but also the people are connected with each other and I guess it will likely increase in the future. I wouldn't proclamate the death of the EU just yet. It's more than just economy. It's also free movement and peace. I don't know what will happen in the future, but I doubt it will be going back to nationalism all the way.
