Does anyone know how can I get this game??? I have tried the web and there was only 1 site on Google Doc that offers it but my Norton keeps screaming it is a dangereous/phishing site...I have tried Amazon and Ebay but no luck...I believe it was supposed to be released in 2004 but some sites mention that this game was released in 1997...I would be grateful for any help in tracking a `safe` copy of this game! The game was never officially translated in English and there is currently no legal digital download. Your best bet is to buy a copy from the German Amazon and download the unofficial English translation patch.

Yep, The Fall is very pricey nowadays. IIRC the reloaded version cost around 10€ when it was released and it also appeared on a few magazine DVDs later. I guess your best bet is trying your luck with a used version.

Hah, if you think The Fall is pricey, try Star Trek Armada 2. Honestly in these cases I have no moral qualms whatsoever to pirate a game. The creators don't get anything anyway from used game sales.

The Fall: Last Days of Gaia is, in either version, the worst game I have ever played. It's literally at the top of my absolute shitlist. Tech, gameplay, story, total failure. I've written some lengthy takedown reviews ten years ago, but they're of course all in German.

If nothing else can sway you from getting this game, I'll gladly translate parts of those reviews.

Getting the game, if you REALLY REALLY have to, should be possible via the German ebay, though of course that would rather be the German voiced version; which will likely not be of any use to you. :( But Gragar's links (and that's the guy who should get the 5 rep points) will probably help in that respect.

But the game had good reviews. I mean, PC games rated it with 84 %.

I'm well aware. They were all raving about this game. GameStar had similar ratings. And I was pretty darn hyped back then, until the disappointment set in step by step by step.

Hm, the picture on the DVD hull says "Extended Version". Is this the same as the "Reloaded" version?

The Fall does have several flaws and rough edges but i enjoyed playing through it. It has a rough corny charme like a cheap but enjoyable low budget movie.

So if you don't expect a perfectly polished game with an "epic" story it's well worth a try IMO.

Of course tastes are different and i have no problem with your opinion. Just thought that calling it "the worst game" is a bit harsh, there are many much worse PC games IMO. ;)

I have used the same Amazon Germany link: 38,90 Euros only for sealed version, used, second Hand (= on german "gebraucht") versions start at 3,25 Euros incl. packaging to any Location in Germany. A few years after release the reloaded Version was also on DVDs of at leat one gaming Magazine, I would guess ebay should also be a legit source for the game.


The creators of "The Fall" had another game, it was more like a mixture of "Jagged Alliance" and "Fallout": it was called Soldiers of Anarchy. I definetly can recommend you the latter, when you are interested in a post apocalyptic tactical strategy game with squad Management.
