As of May 2016, there are 11 currencies available, more may have been added later, but I don't know.

Do note, though, that you only get to choose between the currencies that are relevant to your country, plus USD. Here in Sweden, I only get to choose between USD (available everywhere), EUR (because Europe), and SEK (local currency). Someone in Canada would have USD and CAD, and someone in USA (or any place where the local currency is not supported) would only have USD, which I guess is your situation.

The price you see is the price you pay. If you're in Malaysia, you see GOG's prices for Malaysia, the fact that you only see USD makes no actual difference on the price (but I'd wager that it's the same as the US price), if you want to know how much that is in MYR, go to a currency conversion site and look it up.

Also, you would pay the same value regardless of which currency you'd use, so a game that cost 9.99 USD in USA would probably be 9.99 EUR in Sweden, about 10.64 USD if I switch to that currency, or 94.78 SEK if I chose that.

What? No. GOG doesn't use regional pricing for euro in most games, so if a game costs 9.99 USD in USA would cost 9.49 euro in Sweden (or whatever is the equivalent; this changes weekly depending on exchange rate), or the euivalent in SEK.

For the minority of games that do use regional pricing, it would cost 9.99 euro, but you'd get reimbursed the difference (added to your wallet) by the fair price package.

All right, so not "most", some though. And even if a regional price is reimbursed to the wallet, it needs to be paid somehow (from the wallet and back, or from your credit card/paypal/whatever... to the wallet). Also, I'm quite sure that not all regionally priced games get said fair-price package.

And I'm not complaining about it, at least that is not my intention, just trying to explain how it works.

All do.

Russians and some other regions get special discounts, but there never is a case where a person in Europe, or anywhere in the world, has to pay more than the base USD price without getting reimbursed by fair-price.

EDIT: Sorry I don't mean to sound belligerent, just to explain how it works for the OP.

GOG did abandon its no-regional pricing rule by having some regions pay less than the base price, but it never punishes regions by having them pay more than the base USD price, like Steam does. So, while the eurp price might be higher than USD for some games, (a) it's a minority and (b) you always get re-imbursed.

Do games at about $6 cost you a lot in your day to day living expenses? How much is that compared to some (other :) ) necessities, like groceries or petrol.

They've since added support for Brazilian reais, but otherwise, I think that's it.

...I think you've answered your own question: If the exchange rate is about 1 USD to 4 MYR, then just multiply the GOG price in U.S. dollars by 4 to find out roughly how many ringgits your cost would be.
Or, if you want a more accurate and (hopefully) up-to-date estimate, use the search engine or exchange rate site of your choice to check out what the price of a particular game would be in your local currency. For example: any of the games currently on sale for $4.99 here would currently be about RM22.15 for you, assuming there was no different base price set for your region for that game.

Really, all you can do is create a wish in GOG's community wishlist section for site features asking for MYR support, and hope that enough of your countrymen vote for it. (There doesn't seem to be such a wish there yet, unfortunately.)
It's already 2024 and GOG still have no support nor any update whatsoever in regards to Region pricing, I live in PH but I can't even buy any game using my GCash (a local E-Wallet in Philippines). It's getting frustrating to see that GOG never talked about this nor even did something about it.

I Guess pirating is the only option then hahaha

I feel so tired: enjoy your ban
Account is from September 2023 (~4 and a half months old) and has zero games.
I doubt that this user was ever interested in "purchasing games" from GOG.

And being banned on GOG is probably pretty far down on the list of his problems.
