vsr: Anyone tried Fedora 25?
I heard it is the first and only distro using Wayland by default.
tried fedora 25 kde. just the live version
it worked much better than anyother kde distro i have tried so far on my hardware.
it felt faster and overall more responsive. there were no crashes as is usualy the case when i have tried running kde.

my system froze during installation, after customising my partitions so i could not finish my install.
this is likely a problem with my system rather than the os.
i'll try wayland again when Chapeu upgrades to 25.

Never heard about Chapeau Linux distro.
Looked at it's web page and found out it comes with Steam preinstalled. Looks interesting.

It's very unlikely that they'll ever get native ports due to their age and pricing, when on sale at least. Anyway they both run great in Wine even on my old Nvidia 750Ti (running at 1920x1200, max settings).

This is quite a list! You rock!

I'm planning my switch from Windows 7 to Linux for quite some time now since I don't like where Microsoft is going with Windows 10.
I've tried a few distros and so far my favourite is Manjaro with XFCE.

I'd like to be in for the following (in order of preference):

> Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

That is if there was even a reason for that.

I have used Linux since University, had a dual boot with Ubuntu and WinXP. My last System was a triple boot WinXP + Win 7 + Debian but since my hard drive had errors, I got a replacement and now I'm going to install all of it again :D
I switched to Debian from Ubuntu because in my opinion Ubuntu is becoming too commerical.

Sometimes its really fun if something doesn't work in Debian and you have to get into the console and fix it manually. Its really satisfying when it finally works. Or you simply give up :D.
Someday I will built linux from scratch (google it) on an old machine. Or at least install Gentoo...

Thank you for this giveaway and ...What the...How many...Giveaway of the year for sure <3

A question about Linux and gaming, I keep an eye on it since Windows 8 where I could not run a lot of old games, or they had graphical and sound issues. I know some games were designed to work with old hardware; so could it be a solution to play them on this OS ? I hope !

Games in order of preference:
Broforce
S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition
Painkiller Black Edition + Painkiller: Overdose
Invisible Inc + DLC
Fallout Classics Bundle
Unreal Pack
Thief Pack
Wolfenstein 3D + Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Thanks again and good luck to everyone !
