I've been looking forward to the Galaxy client since I first heard about it late last year. At long last, I just got my first GoG game and entry into the Beta client. I have to say that I really like the client! The client looks great and so far has worked as I would expect. I was very happy to see some free games come up on my library, and especially glad to see Beneath a Steel Sky since it's one of my favorite games from my childhood.

I'm really enjoying the ability to start my client in my Library. When I load the client, I'm doing it to play a game. It's nice to not be immediately sold to when I want to play a game. I also especially like the library being visible to me when I'm in the store. It's those small touches.

One recommendation I have, move all the settings to one place. I had to search the forums to figure out how to change my install location only because I didn't realize there were two settings pages: One accessed from the menus at the top and one accessed from the cog in the bottom of my library. It would be nice for all the settings to be accessed from a single menu, even if there are multiple ways of accessing that menu.

Thank you again and it's looking great!
Glad you enjoy it, and welcome to GOG. :)
yeah I dig it so far

I look forward to seeing it blossom into a beautiful debutante

stick around, the free games don't stop there ;]
SO far so good!
You, you.......FREAK!

;p
Have to agree. I'm liking what I see with Galaxy and like that you've incorporated the same look between the client and the GOG site.
Welcome to GOG and this great community. And of course, enjoy the Good Old Games :)

Welcome to GOG!

I really like the Galaxy client as well. It still needs some additional features to lure me in completely, but I am confident that my Polish brethren will make it so.
I like Galaxy too. ♥ I hope that GOG can make a "Play" button right on the game cover on the Library's home page.

Also make the option to allow a "Default Sort"? Eg: I want to always display my games defaulted to Last Played or Played the Most, etc.
