It’s been a week since the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and the feedback from all of you have been absolutely amazing.

Together with our friends from CD PROJEKT RED we are incredibly moved and happy with how much you enjoy this new spy-thriller adventure, and would like to just say one thing:

Phantom Liberty’s success wouldn't be possible without you. Thank you so much for supporting us and helping us make great things together – we couldn’t have asked for a better community.

But written words can only convey so much. Take a look at the video, in which CD PROJEKT RED team members involved in Phantom Liberty’s creation tell a special message for everyone who decides to purchase Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion on GOG.

RawSteelUT: Lesson learned - adding dumb promotional items = the game is DRMed.

God, this fucking forum is full of shit.
Thankfully you're here to provide polite, civil, intelligent conversation.

Breja: I'm not sure what you're getting at..
Just that it is rather unreasonable to expect GOG to not have posted a message from their sibling subsidiary, no matter how much more sense it might have been to let only the gaming news sites and other platforms to publish it rather than throw more gasoline into the open flames on this forum.

OR, rather than for them to go out of their way to ignore the issue and avoid addressing their customers' legitimate complaints about this matter (as that quoted statement is suggesting might have been a better thing to do, via the idea maybe to let gaming news sites publish the message), CDPR & GOG could, instead, simply finally do the right thing, and remove all DRM from Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, and provide full offline installers for all the (what would then become) formerly-DRM'ed content, and apologize sincerely for ever having done those things, and promise never to do anything like that again in the future.

Then they could post a Thank You announcement, after they have first cleaned up all those DRM debacles that they themselves have created on purpose.

If they did things that way, then the message would be received much more favorably. And also they'd stop creating further bad will among their customers in regards to the DRM issue.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: OR...
All of that hangs on whether or not anyone above GOG cares to make things right and the chances of that are quite low as long as the average annoyed GOG customer keeps blaming GOG rather than directly calling out CDPR/CDP for eroding GOG's reputation as a DRM-free store.
