I just moved from a failed 1 TB HDD to a new 2 TB HDD. I was unable to uninstall from the old drive, so I just started to install everything again on the new drive.

On my old 1 TB I had Galaxy installed and if I recall I didn't have any download/install issues. Now the first two games I tried to download both are giving me the Installation Failed: Configuration Error issue. So far I redownloaded Tex Murphy: UAKM and Full Throttle Remastered.

I've searched articles here in the GoG community, the suggested technical article, reddit, and other sites. Most of the articles are more than 2 years old. Even GoG article shows what appears to be an older install path. They mention "GoG.com" whereas when I installed it recently my path starts with "GoG Galaxy". One reditt post tells me to exit Galaxy and delete the Galaxy.db file, but I can't find this file even with search. Same goes for the GoG article it tells me to upload the log file, which I can't seem to find either with the path they give for the log or using search.

So far I was able to go to the Full Throttle Remasterd folder and I can play from there, so all is not lost. I would just prefer to play from Galaxy. I'm kinda techy, but not real techy. I know enough to be dangerous. Lol. My first games were on the Commadore 64K, Atari 800, and Pong. I guess prior to that it was Rockem Sockem Robots.

I really love what GoG has done, and that I have a place I an play older games on my current gaming rig which if I'm being honest, is a mediocre rig, but mine nonetheless.
Hi, this may or may not help, but the GOG.com folder they're talking about is in C:\ProgramData, which is a hidden directory. Specifically, GOG.db is in:

C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage

Don't know if that's going to be enough to help. Give it a try and tell us what pops up?

It should be on the drive that has Galaxy installed on it, but if all else fails, check them all.

Thank you Blackdrazon!

I was able to find the hidden folder ProgramData on my C: drive. I hope it will be okay since I had to install it a new drive instead of uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I couldn't find a Galaxy.db file. I did find a whole folder of logs though. I also made a support ticket, so maybe they will give me some insight on what I can do and which logs they will want.
Hopefully they will!
