I downloaded it and I get this message after downloading all parts in order 1 2 3 4 5

installer needs the next part (.bin) file

please specify the location of part 1 and click ok

by default the files should be placed in the same folder as the installer itself. Please click browse to specify the correct path.

c:\user\bcolo\downloads

All the parts are listed there I know I asked this before I forgot. I think GOG suggested download parts in different order but, not sure

Thanks

Sounds like you didn't download everything, or possibly one of the files got corrupted or something. I'd try redownloading the game and retrying
I noticed the Tesla Effect files were updated in February 2018 ("updated internal installer structure (Windows), no changes to game files"). Is it possible that you have a mixture of the pre and post update files?
I tried it 3 times and every time same thing.

Have you installed other games from GOG.com successfully in the past?
Unfortunately, my archive is from 2014 so I need to download the latest version. Hope to report back in an hour after seeing what I can/not duplicate.
Well, I downloaded all the files using gog.com downloader and ran the setup executable from there and had zero issue. Here are the files I downloaded. Are you sure you downloaded all the files?

setup_tesla_effect_-_a_tex_murphy_adventure_1.0_(18562).exe
setup_tesla_effect_-_a_tex_murphy_adventure_1.0_(18562)-1.bin
setup_tesla_effect_-_a_tex_murphy_adventure_1.0_(18562)-2.bin
setup_tesla_effect_-_a_tex_murphy_adventure_1.0_(18562)-3.bin
setup_tesla_effect_-_a_tex_murphy_adventure_1.0_(18562)-4.bin
Yes in order

I downloaded
Part 1 when it stopped 1 MB file
I clicked on Part 2 when it stopped 4 gb file
I clicked on part 3 when it stopped 4 gb file
I clicked on part 4 when it stopped 4 gb file
I clicked on part 5 when it stopped 2.7 gb file
clicked on part 1 it showed my error message

I use chrome to download it
get someone who has the files downloaded to run a

certutil -hashfile "[NAME]" md5

in a command prompt on each file and do the same yourself.

or get in touch with gog and tell them to give you the hashes (and then match them against what you got from running the command on each).
