BreOl72: I'm pretty sure, someone in GOG-staff can. I mean: we have green for normal, yellow for questions, blue for news, and orange for sticky threads, already. What would keep GOG from adding red for delisted threads?

I've created a new mock up, because maybe my first attempt wasn't clear enough in conveying, what I propose.
Let me paraphrase back, to make sure I understand. You propose adding a new tag/attribute/whatever that can mark a thread as "DELISTING", with its own color dot. These threads would be listed between Stickies and everything else.

The prefixes seem to be added by the software when the thread is marked with a particular tag, like "STICKY" is automatically added as a prefix to the thread name if a thread has the "STICKY" attribute added. Adding a new tag to deal with a new "Delisted" prefix is certainly possible in the technical sense (as in, I'm certain they can figure out how to do it if they spend enough time), I just don't know if the hours required would be approved by the decision makers. It might be a matter of "sure, let me toss a new tag in the list of possible tags, and add a couple lines of code to display them in the correct place in the ordering", or it might be a matter of "this is hard coded in six different places and trying to add a new one without breaking the interlinking is going to take weeks!".

I'm fishing for suggestions that use the current forum functionality (ie. no software changes) in case whoever makes resource allocation decisions doesn't approve adding some new feature or function to the forum code. For those interested in brainstorming, perhaps we can come up with something that whoever ends up writing a given delisting post can use to improve the forum and notification experience for the end users.
Thanks for notifying us on a not terribly short notice for once.
Will the game be delisted on Steam too ?

Yes.
And in each category (sticky-delisting-normal) the threads would show up in order of last activity (last activity on top).
Exactly as it is already the case now with the two existing categories (sticky-normal) - just with a new category (delisting) added in between.

Just in case I'll ask a question. What about other Tex Murphy games?

Although it was sticky to be more visible, I found it now. Well hidden, GoG :)

Different publisher so they should not be problematic. Especially since the publisher for those is Wordplay LLC (founded by Aaron Conners, the writer of the Tex books) and Big Finish Games (created by Chris Jones and Aaron Conners) is trying to prevent the delisting of Tesla (which is published by SEGA) right now. So obviously they don't intend to get the games delisted at all.

PaterAlf: I might be the only one, but I don't think that's a good idea. Especially when there are always several sticky threads (mostly rules and stuff for new users), I never look at that section (because I don't expect to find any news there). For me making something sticky is a sure way to make it invisible.
You're not the only one. If it's a sticky, I won't see it for the exact same reasons, but at the same time, it's nice to know that GOG listened to user feedback, for those of us who actually wanted this change.

timppu: So why is it delisting then? Does it also use that phucking song from the Godfather movie or something?!?

Guys, I keep telling you: don't use movie music in your games, or real car models, or real sports celebrity names! They will get you into trouble in the future.

Anyway, luckily I have the game in my library...
It has nothing to do with music licensing, or anything related to that.

Also, as I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, we are currently working with GOG to ensure it remains listed.

Thank you for your efforts in keeping the game here.
I already own it on GOG but it's nice that more people will be able to buy and enjoy this game here.
Is it weird that this topic actually made me slightly hopeful that it would be connected to a new publishing deal for The Poisoned Pawn?

HunchBluntley: Fairly true for me, too. If this new tactic might help more people than it harms, it's probably a good thing to try, but I was on the forums a fair bit yesterday, and I didn't notice this topic until just now.
I agree, I have completely ignored this topic's location on the forum for the longest time. I also agree that the new approach will add more value to the stickied area of the forum, and it will actually be less of the wasted real estate it seems to me to now be. Hopefully not a lot more games leaving the site, though, that would be a shame.
...how do i own this
Ahh. Too bad. This is a great game.

Thanks for the heads-up, GOG! And thanks for making it sticky!
We have received an Update and the game will not be removed at this date.
