Has something changed in the way GOG handles the marking of game editions as owned?

I've noticed it not too long ago and again now while browsing the list of discounted titles ciem so kindly assembles and provides – thank you! Cardpocalypse - Time Warp Edition, Cardpocalypse Standard Edition, Gord Deluxe Edition and Gord Standard Edition now display as owned. As a side note, I originally purchased the highest edition of both games.

Has GOG really changed the way this is handled, or are these exceptions? If they have, bądź pochwalony, GOG! It makes the experience of browsing the shop that much more convenient. Perhaps there is also a chance we will get an option to mark store items as "Not interested" so that they can be hidden temporarily or permanently as well? ;-)

No.
Since these "high editions" are bundles, all their subcomponents get marked as owned.

If they do it right, then:
Ultra Deluxe Edition = Mega Deluxe + Something else
Mega Deluxe = Deluxe + Artbook
Deluxe = Game + Soundtrack

As a consequence, when you buy the Ultra Deluxe, all subcomponents will be marked as owned.

There are game with editions however that exclude each other, for example Wasteland 3
If you buy Deluxe, you don't get everything that's in the Colorado Edition and if you buy the Colorado edition, you miss some items from the Deluxe Edition and even if you buy the rest of the DLCs, the collection won't be marked as owned.
Nothing changed.

If you have bought the Deponia games separatly, see if you also own the collection.

Thank you for your reply! I do own every Deponia game included in the Deponia Full Scrap Collection, but the collection isn't marked as owned. Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced shows the Standard Edition as owned, Original Sin 2 Divine Edition shows the Definitive Edition, Evoland 2 shows both the Deluxe and Standard... Conversely, The Witcher 3 Complete doesn't show the Standard edition, and Pillars of Eternity Definitive Edition doesn't show the Hero Edition or White March I+II as owned.

So, in essence, nothing has really changed—or been changed, correct?
