This is a weird situation. I usually use paypal to buy games from GOG. But it is getting weird since yesterday, I tried to buy games using Paypal as usual but after I confirmed from Paypal interface, it is stuck on the GOG's verification page. In the first attempt I thought the payment failed then I re-tried to buy the same game and I found out that I was charged twice in paypal for the same game.

After that, I tried to buy several other games using Paypal. In all cases, the paypal approved the payment immediately as I received confimration emails from Paypal, it is just the GOG somehow needs like 30 mins to get through the verification. In my last two purchases, I don't even need to waiting at that verification screen to wait, i could just shut down the browser or even PC and the process will be completed like 30 mins later and appeared in my library when I checked later.

I tested that if I paid with credit card directly, the game was added to my library immediately

To summarize, I can buy game using Paypal but I need to wait like 30 mins to get the the games added. Not that I can't wait 30 mins but it seem abnormal to be this way. I am not sure if there is any problem causing this and I ain't sure if this weird issue would get worse. I have contacted the support like 16 hours ago but I haven't received response yet.

Anyone has idea? Thank you.

(P.S. in order to test my papypa account, I also bought games from Steam and Gamersgate using this paypal account ater I discovered this issue, no problem appeared from those sites. I am not sure if there is communication problem between GOG and Paypal during the process. Anyway, I have brought several games just to test this issue :( )
I had the same issue yesterday paying with Paypal. On the support page it said transactions could take as long as two hours some times, so I decided to wait a couple of hours before contacting support and the game was added to my library before that. I hope this is just a temporary thing and future purchases resolve quickly as they've been in the past.

Two hours? What is going on here? Is Gog going back to the 1950's? This is 2019 and Gog you need to clean up your act.
I also noticed weirdness with PayPal & GOG yesterday. My GOG purchase required a physical shipping address on PayPal, that's never happened before.

I already had one setup and verified so it wasn't an issue, but it may be the source of problems for others.
If you have any spare money in your balance, it will try to use that first, which should be instantaneous. Otherwise it could be an issue with trying to talk between banks as it pulls money from the bank/Credit Card before doing a paypal transaction.

While i like the ease of Paypal, they have some of the worst rates in comparison.
I hope that they can get it resolved soon, as it is kind of inconvenience. Not that waiting 30 mins is a problem, just that I am afraid the problem will get worse

My Humblebundle order yesterday also required a physical address I think. Confusing.
