Just in case this helps -- I've been playing Grim Dawn and have run into some serious input lag even while playing Single Player. I traced it down to the GoG Overlay. You can turn this off in GoG settings. Ever since I turned it off -- zero 'lag'.
Just so you know, Syberia 3 itself has poor performance, thus it just might not necessarily be your fault. However, I've heard that they are supposed to have fixed some of the outstanding issues.

They say so but they haven't. The game is really unoptimized and has some serious bugs. Especially regarding the "point and click" controls which were added later only because so many requested them. I made a bug report and all they said was "download newest version" which I already had. Crap support, crap company - still enjoyed the game in the end even though it was far from Syberia 1 and 2.

So yes, you probably need a good GPU to be able to really enjoy this game.
