Let's say you're playing a game, and EVERYTHING is working fine. I mean there are no lags, no crashes, the game responds exactly as you prompt it too...... except for ONE function. And let's say it's an older GOG game that you've played dozens of times before and everything (including this ONE function) worked fine then.

Is it possible that suddenly the game has a "bug" where that function no longer works?? Is it possible that everything except ONE function would work right in a new OS (Windows 10) whereas all of your other playthroughs were in earlier operating systems?

It doesn't make sense to me, but I'm playing Two Worlds Epic Edition for like the 7th time (at least lol) and for some reason the keys to switch weapons (default R and T for next weapon/prev weapon) isn't working. I used to use this feature a lot as I would typically begin combat with a ranged weapon, get off a volley or two, then just hit the key to switch weapons. This play through I'm having to open the inventory and manually switch weapons EVERY TIME.

I've tried going into settings and changing the key used to switch weapons from R to Y (LOL, even tried a couple of others) but nothing I do is working. It's as though the feature "disappeared" yet the game is running fine and every other key and function appear to working fine.

This is weird.
For me, it's my laptop. Random keys will stop working on occasion. I walk about 5 miles each way to the library to get internet access and do my work for the day. Bouncing around in my backpack isn't good for it.

I noticed this week my hard drive in there is beginning to hum a bit.

Not sure what your setup is but I wanted to throw that out there.

When I was working out of my old apartment, my ex and I rescued stray cats as we were always having to clean out keyboards.

Thanks, but no that's not it. The R and T key work fine (as do all the other keys) on this laptop. When I went into settings to change the key used to switch weapons, it would recognize the key (Y for example) and would then show Y as the key to switch weapons. But when I press it in game to actually switch weapons... nothing. Not when it was the default R and T, not when I changed it to Y, not when I changed it to V, not when I changed it to anything. It's as though the feature no longer works.... yet as I said above, I've played it lots before and it always worked before.

I just don't get how that's possible. If it were a Windows 10 issue, it seems like more than just switching weapons wouldn't work. And I don't think a game as old as Two Worlds which hasn't been updated probably in a decade would suddenly "develop" a bug. It's just really bizarre.
