I am trying to send a request to the support team, It asks me to choose a file, (DxDiag), a) I have not got a clue what it is.
b) there are loads of files to choose from, but nothing starting DzDiag, an of course I am not able to send anything. To be honest I find the system so complicated, I am sure it is designed to stop people from trying to contact support. As you will no doubt have realized I am not a computer wizkid. Any help would be great

They don't have the same level of support than a big company. If you are unsure, just send the report anyway and mention that you do not have a clue how to do that. They should get back then with step-by-step instructions.

If triocks link didn't help so far.

dxdiag is the name of a diagnosis programm on your windows machine and it can save lots of information about your hardware and software configuration in a single file (probably a text file), that then can be attached to support request with an "attach file" (or something similar) button. you only need to find it and start it. typically in the taskbar of your desktop there is a search bar for programs, typing dxdiag on a command line should also work.
‘Tis understandable one might feel angst when the mishaps align against them in getting a game and not being able to play it. Fear not... if at all possible, with the least amount of annoyances, you’ll find a solution.

The users of this site also rely on the community to find answers to issues with the games we buy here.
Each of the games have a sub-Forum, where people (humans and non-terrestrial based life forms) can post any issues they have with installing and running our games.

Some of us make an extra effort to post fixes and workarounds that we discover ourselves. There might already be a solution posted there, by one among us, for posterity’s sake.

Have you tried looking in the sub-Forum for whatever the issue your having is? Click on the Community option at the top of the page and do a search for the “game specific forum”, for the game in question.

It will also help pass the time whilst waiting for the GoG Support Team to process your request... :)
