As title says I suggest adding a box of friends to the checkout process where I can select the user I wish gift something.
This approach gives serious benefits over "enter your email" one:
1) You don't need to know recipient's email and you can just go'n'gift things without asking. This would streamline process a little, which, I hear, helps sales.
2) When a certain person from roster selected region prices can be easily applied during checkout process the same way they are applied to users when they buy for themselves.
Now let me explain this one in detail. I started using gog and I'm happy to use it. But I'm having hard time making my brother and friends switch as gifting prices... well, bite in my region. Having changed that i'm sure you will see more and more established users inviting friends with gifts.
Why I think this is important? Well, established users invite other users with gifts. And if the price bites you may notice significant slowdown in market coverage speed. That's it.
