I downloaded new from GOG for Velvet edition and Echoes of the dark past 1 and 2. The server still is stuck on the old user name from previous game downloaded. I figured that new game downloaded to me would work. There is definitely something wrong with the server.

New user name and password with new download and the server error still is stuck on old user name and message at bottom of screen say either over use of installations or improper password.
