Snapped in half.

STASIS, the isometric sci-fi adventure taking place aboard a derelict spaceship full of creepy corners, just got its price permanently slashed.

To top it all off, two spiffy new wallpapers have been added to the list of bonus goodies, both for the standard and Deluxe Edition.
I always get stuck shortly after I start playing, my brain isn't what it used to be :D hopefully soon I'll have time to move forward and finish this (and Cayne next ;)
Thus starts the countdown to the forum post(s) weeks or months from now where someone is confused and angry because "i KNOW i remember SOMA getting a price cut awhile back, but now it looks like the dirty greedy devs have raised the price again! Now im boycotting it!!!!"
=P

gamesfreak64: i miss a very important filter: games

It would be very handy if GOG would show only games
at the moment it shows everything, this way i have to browse everything .....

Steam has a games filter to show only games which is very handy to have it saves lots of browsing and you know for sure only games are shown, even Gamersgate has a games filter, a d DLC flter and more usefull filters
, maybe other gamedhop have game filters to show only games aswell...

If GOG had 3 or 4 DLC that would be okay, as it is now dozens of DLC keep coming and there is no way to only show games. (✖╭╮✖)

Anyway, if so many sites have it why doesnt GOG have a proper filter to show only games, DLC usually show up at the main game page ( at least that is what every other shop does)so no need to mix everything and show many results.
I have to agree here.

I was looking for a game and had to dig through a bunch of DLC for that game to find the actual game itself.

This is made even worse by the horrible "prettified" new site design that is absolutely atrocious to navigate.
Damn, that's a bloody good deal. This game was worth the original price.
I want to thank the GOG community for convincing me to give STASIS another try, it turned out to be excellent. If you're also after other modern horror-themed games for a Halloween binge, I'd recommend Paper Sorcerer and SOMA. All together they make up quite a diverse bunch. STASIS is a point & click adventure, Paper Sorcerer a dungeon crawler, and SOMA a first-person survival horror.

Nice price :-) A huge pity PnC is not really my forte.

If you're the least bit interested in the theme or something "scary" I highly suggest it. I'm not really a point and click guy either but the game just doesn't "feel" like a PnC - no pixel hunting no combining the walrus with the paper hat, none of that. Just a really spooky exploration of this desolate hulk. Oppressive without being draining - felt a bit like the old movie Event Horizon.

I only played the demo but I really need to give the full game a shot as I really enjoyed it. And that price is just silly. Maybe my yearly Halloween "scary" game?
Grrrrr. All you people praising this game are making me want to play it.

I've owned it forever. It was a giveaway, or a reward at some point. I haven't touched it, because I'm waiting for the Linux version.
Is there any reason the deluxe edition is the same price as the standard edition?

viranimus: To each their own of course, but for my money something isometric is about 9$ too high for my tastes. Does not help the absolute flood of isometric games in the last decade.
Well, and at the end of the 90ies/ early and mid 00ies 2D-ISO-games were dying in favour of 3D-1st/3rdPerson-Graphics...
...the games industry is one of these that really believe a lot in those who call themselves market researchers, despite mostly having nothing to do with research. If this wouldn´t be the case, you wouldn´t be pissed off by the flood of isometric right now and Iso-Fans wouldn´t be still pissed of by what happend in that dark era...

That 3d perspective thing saved me tons of money :D i avoid 3d /fpp games , i wont play them ( too many motions makes you feel sea sick like on a boat) it has a way to large share of all games leaving a very small percentage that cover 2d games, point and click so the choice is very limited.

Thats why till now i am quite satified with most of the HOG, i can play at least 75% of them leaving enough space and varity for me to buy lots of HOG games, if i want real AA games i am very limited : only a few like jagged alliance command and conquer, red alert , commandos, fallout ( not the awfull 3d versions they release now)

Anyway they dont make decent 2d games it has to be fpp and 3d all the way....if 40 games would be released here or steam or anywhere, i bet i would be able to maybe buy 5 games tops, cause the resr would be: fpp, shooters racing platform .....
