My thoughts too,especially since it's never explicity stated in the films that Han's from Corellia (although the no-longer-canon EU made this abundantly clear, even having a trilogy featuring a young Solo growing up as a street kid in the capital of Coronet City) and that classic YT-1300 wall paneling is clearly visible.

To be honest, I liked the opening scene. The idea of these derelicts buried in sand is neat, it gives a sense of gigantism that open space doesn't convey that well. Also the darth helmet is nice.

But I'm a bit meh about the rest. Not much into family dynasty plots, and not convinced that bringing back crystal skull's indy will work too well (not to mention the others : characters don't age the same way as their actors).

I don't expect prequel-scale disasters, but not great movies ever. A youtube commenter points out the present tense used for "my father", which makes me expect nice family values with grandad anakin being proud of his grandchild's heroics.

That depends. It can be done very well. I think the Star Trek movies with the original crew are a great example of that. And while I don't expect that theme to be explored nearly as well here, the old cast coming back is actually the one thing I'm pretty sure will be fine. I look forward to seeing Luke as an old and wise Jedi master, and Ford can still deliver. He was good in Ender's Game, and even among the people who hate Crystal Skull (and I'm not one of them) most didn't really find a fault with Ford I think (I definately did not).

I'm far more concerned with whether the new guys can be nearly as fun, likeable and memorable as the orginal cast.

That and as far as I know the 'original three' are kind of side characters, not being asked to carry the whole thing and I'm guessing not being asked to do a lot of high end physical stuff which kind of hurt the last Indy film. If I go to see this movie and a 60 year old Luke is using his grappling hook to swing across a chasm with a 60 year old Leia then I'm gonna be a little upset. :P

Oh no I disagree about the chasm swinging. I think it would be hilarious if they put something like this in it but then let the cable snap or something. I like that in the crystal skull when in the opening Indy misses his whip swing. But don't listen to me, I like the prequels and the fridge scene in crystal skull...

I'm with you. This and the previous trailer both look amazing. The music, the action, its fantastic.
But its Star Wars and Georgie ruined it for me with the second trilogy. I remember those trailers looked amazing too. As much as I loved the first trailer and really like this trailer, I have to temper my excitement and hope JJ knows what he is doing and gives us goosebumps throughout the entire movie.

I hate the prequels with a passion, but I'll give you a pass this time, because I also kinda like the fridge scene. At least I don't mind it, it's not like those were realistic movies up to that point, and I don't know how anyone can deny this is a great shot.

I don't know about tinyE, but I'm pretty sure Ford could kick my ass and not even break a sweat. And that's even with him being in the hospital after a plane crash now.

Few questions - does Luke have a son in this? (is this who seems to be referenced to in the 2nd teaser? or ). Does Han and Leia?. Reason i ask - the former is mentioned as possibility in a few places and in some of the books the latter (yeah i know most if not all are not canon) are mentioned.
