Gaining full control.

Star Control: Origins just received a free Multiverse DLC.

Grab it from its store page now.
I guess free is good.

And pretty uncharacteristic for Stardock!
damn, what an announcement :D

Quite on a short side, right? :)
Stardock is still desperately trying to undo all the bad publicity they're bringing on themselves by trying to steal the Star Control IP from its original creators and attacking the fan communities. Of course, it seems like NOT filing trademarks on IP they don't own would be easier than giving away DLC for free...

Base game is £30.99, you can chuck a whole load of freebies on that and it isn't going to be worth it.
It's just a free modding tool isn't it ?

This is Brad Wardell we're talking about. I'm not sure admitting fault is something he's capable of.

Honestly, the whole thing comes across as Brad thinking he had the right to distribute the old games and then refusing to admit to being mistaken.

I don't know if SC:O does a good job bringing Star Control to the modern age, but UQM does it excellently: https://sourceforge.net/projects/urquanmastershd/
I just leave this in here : http://forum.uqm.stack.nl/index.php?topic=7396.0
What a flavorless post. GOG is definitely taking this "sticking to just games" thing seriously.
