DreamedArtist: Convert that into Canadian, If I do usd on my bank statement that 15 will go 19 so either way I spend almost 5 dollars more to get the game. but hey I spent 70 so WHO CARES! I got some cool shit man, now I can play tomb raider angel of darkness and sim city 4.

Pawel1995: What is it about canadian's crying always about their currency on the internet? You have to spend 15 US $ to get the game. If 15 USD equals 20 Canadian $ then you STILL have to spend 15 USD. Nothing weird about that.

If you pay with Egyptian pound that would mean you had to spend 265! Omg, that's so much! 265 EGP, that's, that's... 15 USD!
Dude, who is making a big deal out of this? I said one thing and I don't really care because I blew past 150 in spending on this sale so I don't give 2 shits about 15 or not but I was saying one thing cause of a past sale's experience. Please move on and play games or something.

GR00T: Um... who's crying about it? Certainly not me. I actually understand how currency exchange works, so I realize I have to spend roughly 20 bucks CDN to get to that 'free' game threshold.
See? Nothing to get angry over even if I gotta spend 5 dollars more big friggin woop I GET A FREE GAME so win win really and plus I support gog and DRM FREE games and build my collection up but yeah I guess this will never end from the look of it lol.

BTW did you get anything good in the sale? I got to try the sim city 3000 and 4 for the first time and I love 4 with the crazy things that can go on.

With "always crying" I mean that places like reddit and co. are FULL of canadian people that complain about prices for Hard- or Software in their currency.

yes we bitch about prices cause we almost pay double the amount of what american pay, when it comes to electronics or software we do get the shit end of the stick same with Australia and brazil. I spent 1200 on my gtx 1080ti and in america that thing goes for 699 so of course I would bitch because look at what the hell I had to pay. and yes I know our dollar is crap but even when our dollar was higher than the american dollar our products where still 200 plus more for some god damn reason. it gets old real fast.

Got the Ragnarok expansion for Titan Quest, Tahira, MDK, and Starcrawlers. Haven't fired any of those up yet, as I'm immersed in Elex right now.

Ah, yes, some of it is just blatant whining, but as noted by Dreamed in the post above, there are many products that are still 20% to 30% higher here than in the US even after you account for the exchange rate. Hardware is a particularly egregious example of this.

I loved NOX! Elex... I find I'm freaking addicted to it. It's a PB game (the guys that did the Gothic games), so it's very similar in mechanics to the Gothic series. Different setting though. Seems a little rough when you start out (as in graphics aren't the latest and greatest, and it could use a bit of polish), but it's rock-stable on my rig and after about an hour I was hooked. I've clocked close to 80 hours so far and haven't even progressed the story past chapter 1. As you can likely surmise, I'm having a blast with it. Actually sitting here at work right now counting off the minutes in the last hour so I can go home and fire it up. :P

Good to know cause I am tempted to get it when the holiday sale starts, any issues with fps or stability with the game? hope it's solid right out the box.

I'm not the best to ask about fps, as I've seen people complain about low frame rates in some games where I don't notice anything wrong. But I've not experienced anything unusual on that front, at least. And as for stability: zero crashes in 80 hours. It's stable as hell from what I've experienced. I even left it running all night last night (paused the game before dinner and got sidetracked - forgot about it until this morning) and it was still running when I got up this morning (I didn't count those hours in my playtime, btw).

My rig:

Core i5 6600k
Gigabyte GTX1070
SSD (one for the OS, one for games)
Win10 64 bit

Very nice, seems like a good game that is not rushed, About the framerates you have a 1070 so I am sure you see nothing in fps lose like me haha. but maybe 960 or lower cards 760 or 770 can experience fps dips due to older hardware. but I did watch some gameplay and I love the setting and openness of the area.

Yeah, there's a crapton of stuff to find and they've done a pretty solid job with the NPC interactions. Many times, they'll tell you something about a place and it's actually applicable (and not just 'flavour'). i.e. they tell you not to go somewhere or you'll get killed because it's too dangerous - and if you go there, you'll get probably killed. As well, many times there is more than one way to solve a quest/mini quest/fetch quest. Final thing I'll point out (or I'll go on for ever) - there are a lot of notes, books, journals, etc. laying around and these along with the area design tell a lot of backstory that's not directly related to the main plot but gives you a real feel for the game world. Good stuff, IMO. If you like PirhanaBytes games, you'll probably like this one.

Oh, if you decide to grab it, just make sure you do a wee bit of research on character building. Not for optimization, but just so you're clear on the use of raising the stats and what some of the skills actually do. It's not terribly well explained in game sometimes.
