Well - I already bought the whole "Legend Of Heroes" series. I started with the first "Trails In The Sky", but bought the whole trilogy soon after that (a shame that the two "crossbell" parts that come after that are not (yet ?) translated tough). And the two "Trails Of Cold Steel" where the last ones that where added.

I understood the "Ys" series are more centered around fighting and a whole lot less on the story, so I am not very interested. I am a story lover, and not really a fighting mechanics lover.

However - "Tokyo Xanadu eX+" looks like a partly "Trails-Like" game (well, that's what a lot of reviews say), and while I was a bit reluctant to buy the game at the full price (because of that "partly"), the price reduction was enough to take the bite.

My sales opinion on games i find good/played/interested in:

The Legend of Heroes games need a better discount. Considering how old they are. (Fc is the only one that seems to get a decent discount so its the only one i have played)
Same goes for the xanadu games. (Xanadu next discount seems alright but not enough for me to pull the trigger)
Same goes for the Zwei games.

Some of the Ys games have a good discount but i already have them (still a good buy for those who are missing them).
The Ys games i dont have, got a low discount : ( .

The Agarest: Generations of War games got a nice discount if u like those games (and can get over the cut content).
Hyperdimension Neptunia games got a nice discount if u like those kinda games (a warning though it has really copypasted lvl and enemy design). So only buy those if u like the senseless party banter.

Way of the Samurai Games discount seems good for what they are (only played Way of the Samurai 4 though so cant comment about its differences).

So in conclusion for me i wont buy anything.



The face of the gog mascot really doesnt look good. Should have gotten a better artist. The hair also looks kinda wrong and not correctly attached to the head.

Recent Ys games have a lot of (unfortunately unskippable) cutscenes, and therefore might be worth trying if you're into story. I remember Ys Origin being annoying with cutscenes.

If you play on the easiest difficulty and make sure to upgrade your equipment when possible, both Origin and Oath in Felghana are so easy it's actually faster to kill a boss than it is to lose on purpose.

Oh my gosh, now we have a GOG-chan. From this point forward, if there isn't new artwork of her doing various things every time there is a Japanese games sale, I will be disappointed.

That said, as much as I would love to buy some of these games, this sale catches me just as I'm flat broke from a long trip. =( Oh well, another time.

I was wondering... will you guys from GOG put GOG-chan together with the other profile wallpapers?
