I think that this topic has been opened several times already in this community, I have not searched it in depth, but I can't understand why there are forums in Russian, German and French, and there are none in Spanish.

I don't care what is the most spoken language are in the world i just want to understand why do a forum like this is so hard, I would like to play with more people that exist on gog.com and organize games with more people and open posts and be able to write here on Spanish.

someone who knows the subject more or less know why this happen?.

there are enough people in Spain consuming games from gog.com... So i just can't understand this..

Maybe it depends on the habit of each spanish user. Don't know about Spanish people, but I met very few italian people here and....all of them just talk in english no problem, so maybe they don't care about a language based sub forum at all.

But without doubt, if there is no request about it, don't expect it to happens out of the blue (I'm not implying anything, but acually this is the first time I read this kind of thread).

I have wondered the same thing. I hope they make one.

In Google are some post talking about this, although most only are people talking about the same thing myself.

I have no problem speaking English, I can speak it, not correctly at all, but at least to me, this bothers me Since there are several different language forums but where is Spanish? they shell things in Spanish yeah, but in general, it seems they ignore us a little... Steam in fact, most things the Community translates the client, it's so difficult to create a simple forum for us? i say again, i have not problem speaking English, but I want to see that so great is the community of Spain and have a corner where we can speak our language without barriers or anything, have been appearing forums in various languages I know that it is a matter of time , but do not understand why take so long for making a simple forum : /

I completely agree with you on this, and I think the same for an italian environment here aswell.
But I still think that there is a general lack of desire from the userbase (heck, I'm even surprised that galaxy has italian language support, while the site has no such support whatsover).

It could be interesting to make a request, a wish, or a simply poll thread, reflecting all of this.

*sigh* It is NOT only about creating "a simple forum". For GOG it means translating every possible aspect of their store (or at least most of it) into Spanish and also a support in Spanish - for this they need some fluent Spanish speakers willing to move to Poland. That's probably the main reason why there is no Spanish forum.

Spanish - 33 votes:

Italian - 12 votes:

Not making a judgment or weighing in on either side. Just providing the links.

You know, I really hate the fact that in order to work for GOG we are forced to move in Poland, otherwise I would be more than glad to translate everything into italian (given me the time), as a translator lover.

Here you're going to meet the ones who don't mind the English language, but that's not the case for most. A Spanish forum would be nice, but that's not the key to the Spanish and Latin American market. It's hard for me to recommend GOG to people who will feel unconfortable buying games in a website without a Spanish interface and, most importantly, client support in Spanish.

Like others have mentioned, all of this would of course cost money, so it's not an easy decision for GOG to make. But I hope we will see Spanish support some day.

Oh I know. I'm in the same position when it comes to recommend GOG due to the language barrier.

In fact, I'm kinda surprised that galaxy has already the italian language support, while most of the stuff must still be done through the website.

I do wonder though: does making a spanish/italian sub forum costs money?

But you know, there is one thing which I like from steam: community translations; steam used this thing, in which users would translate anything from steam, and steam would push the translation once approved. Something like this could do wonders to GOG.
Having said all this, if someone came along and posted a question about a problem in Spanish, I seriously doubt we would turn him or her away and would in fact do our best to help them.

Granted a few folks may pitch a fit but still....

Well, i'd hardly argue with this. I mean, there is no reason to not help anyone which is asking something in spanish or in any other foreign language, as long any motherlanguage can understand and reply to him/her.

Funny thing is though that, on steam forums, lately I noticed some threads in italian language (mostly for DBXV2) and no one replied to them, aside me.

But well, steam is steam, and for the most part a toxic community. I'm not saying that GOG is a holy ground, but at least we have more people willing to help (the downside is that generally speaking we are a way smaller communty).
