Song of the Deep is a metroidvania-style action-adventure game following a young girl’s quest into the unknown to find her missing father. Combining discovery, skill, and suspense with an unforgettable narrative, this underwater journey will challenge players to explore, experiment, and skillfully navigate a vast ocean landscape. Song of the Deep launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this summer, 2016.

By the way, Insomniac games made one of my favourite games - Disruptor. This, along with Alien Trilogy, was my favourite FPS on PS. :)

Thanks for sharing, gave it a vote. No idea if the gameplay is going to be good, but it looks pretty interesting. Never played it, but I still remember the magazine ads with the fucked up teddy bear. :D

The Aquatic Adventure of the last human much? Song of the Deep seems to have much better graphics though.

Is it metroidvania too?

I think this title deserves to be on GOG. There are some Metroidvanias, but still not enough. SotD looks very beautiful. I hope its gameplay will be good too.

Never saw it back then - just searched for it: pretty awful ad I'd say! :P If you're given the chance to try it, do it so (if FPS are your thing of course!). I replayed it last year and I had some great fun as back then. As for the FMVs, I thought they would be cheesy in 2015 but they turned out to be nice enough! :)

I'd say it's a pretty damn effective ad, if I still remembered it after all these years, even though I never played the game. :P

Maybe video game ads in general were more creative back then.

I don't have the game but from what I have seen from gameplay videos it is a metroidvania.

Yeah, GOG reviewers mentioned its Metroidvania-ness. Also, Steam users tagged it as Metroidvania too.
