Is anybody else having this issue? I can't contact my card company because, as the message says before hanging up, "Theres too many calls and we can't handle it because of coronavirus. Call some other time." yet thats the only message you ever get, so.... anyway, also the attempted GOG purchase doesn't show up as denied, completed, in-process or ANYTHING. Also I try again with my saved card and even though I've entered the correct security each time (I always double check or triple check all numbers) I get a message about 'you entered the wrong security code too many times and the saved card is being removed and can be added later' message. So, is this happening to anyone else and does this sound like a technical issue with GOG to you?

I can't even send a technical issue help request about it off to GOG as no matter how many time as hit submit it went nowhere until I hit reload and tried again. Really seeming like a technical issue going on.

I've heard before that since Cyrus is an overseas bank (Assuming GoG still uses that) that you might have to clear transactions with the bank.

I'd say when you get a chance, put $200 or something in the wallet and then pay from there.
Also i've never had issues with Paypal wallet/balance either, but the amount they take away in fees isn't very nice.

Actually, i wonder... Does GoG do venmo or something now? Venmo Cashapp and others have no fees... so...

edit: Credit cards, Skrill, Paysafe, wallet, paypal....

Well, yeah but I bought stuff just last month though.

Did you purchase a bunch of games before that? Sometimes that trips the system.

(Either too many games total per day or too many copies of one game title)

Depends on the pattern. If you regularly buy 10 games of $10 or less, then it would be noted. If you do it once or twice it may not become a regular pattern and still flag.

But i'm guessing. I don't know how these banks work.

Last month it was 1 at the end, 1 at the beginning, around $10 total. I can't afford purchases every month. Usually it's like $5-10, one time around $35 a few months back. I was trying to finish off my PC building sim & strong hold crusader 2 collection while I can. This was a total of like $42. I did manage to order a few of the titles individually (up to about $21) and then after that, I got the message again with $5.99 then also $0.99 :/ So, does this sound like what you're talking about? And is this because of the bank or GOG's security? This is literally, the only 'overseas' purchases I ever make, so I'm completely clueless on this. So, how long before I can finish rounding out my collections.

Wait. You can't progress a transaction properly AND you can't submit a help ticket? Well either the website is having issues, or there's something on your end which is interfering.

Have you run all the basics and tried a different browser? Purged the cache? Turned off blockers? You know, all that level 1 tech support stuff.

It is usually 24 hours to refresh the buying limit in such cases...though sometimes you can contact support and get it done faster(using social media and PMs to staff....as their support email system seems to be very slow atm).
This happened to me. My card hasn't been accepted recently, even though GOG has accepted this card during the past, so I chose the "PayPal" option, and I DIDN'T log into PayPal. I used the "PayPal Guest Checkout" option. I entered my card, and my payment to GOG worked during the first try.

I was NOT charged a fee for using PayPal Guest Checkout. I paid the same price that I would have paid if my card would have been accepted when I entered it directly into GOG's menu. But I don't know whether people in other areas of the world will be charged a fee.

They relocated a couple of years ago from Cyprus to Poland. Still, if the problem is working with a foreign entity, as other users from the US have experienced in the past, it would persist and would have to be dealt with the bank itself.

Yup, I did all those things, and get this I saw some more weird stuff just a bit ago. An image of the earth attempting to be held up by some little guy bu whose struggling with it (I think that means some sort of web issue with the site, right?) and when that was gone, when I clicked on an item in my wishlist, it just took me to the popular games page. Surely that must mean something is going on with the site somewhere? Also while trying to reply I just saw that earth on shoulders image again and got a Error 503 Backfetch failed.

24 hours, well I guess that means if I wait a few days whether its the bank or a technical issue maybe it'll be cleared up. I hope.

Yeah, but I was able to buy part of the stuff I was trying to buy all at once when I did it one at a time. A bit after posting the original post. So, its obviously still being accepted but I seem to be experiencing a lot of weird technical issues on and off, so I'm only more confused if its a bank issue or a site issue.

I started using the site like about July of last year so I don't think the move to Poland would be an issue itself.

That's just the GOGBear we get when the site is a bit overloaded / being worked on. Nothing unusual, just not common.

I see that bear 90% of the time looking at 'forum replies', speaking of a very inefficient design for how it handles keeping track of recent posts and notifications.

Oh, well combined with everything I've seen, it's obvious something is going on.
