svmariscal: Yes I found their site and was really tempted, but I am concerned about the DRM stance of the company. I have read somewhere that Slitherine's DRM consists exclusively in a product keycode and no online install or activation is needed. Can anyone confirm this?
Emob78: I'm not sure about Slitherine. I got my copy from Matrix. Matrix's DRM is a simple key serial at install. Offline.
offline activation by serial key?
thats no that bad is it? i would not mind that of course DRM FREE is always better cause then you are 100% sure you wont get problems if a piece of hardware goes bad and have to be replaced thus invalidating the installed software.
i have some casual games i bought on GG that also require a serial key, but these ones will popup a msgbox if there is no connection, plus i assume these keys will also allow limited use.
cause using a serial that doesnot require online server validatation is weak, everyone knows that
cause if they cant use an advanced server to check the keys if they are valid or invalid they have to depend on some algorithm and/or encryption inside that piece of software.
