Unfortunate that The Sinking City is still caught up in that legal clusterfuck.
Ahh, the joys of public domain!

Also, bruh, none of those game page links work except for the one to the "Games set in Lovecraftian worlds" sale!

None of the links to games in the store work anymore, it's a general problem.

All the links work for me (Win7, Opera, Incognito mode with cleared cookies and everything else).

Works for me like before.

Yes, it seems that now they have solved the problem.

How can you have a list like this without the original Alone in the Dark?

The complete collection includes the original AiTD. However, it deserved its own place in the news article.

And I would have included Cultist Simulator and Phoenix Point in the collection too.

Agreed on Cultist Simulator. I need to go back to that, I haven't played in a while. Maybe now's a good time, being close to Halloween.

Why Phoenix Point? I always thought of that as an X-Com clone, does it veer into Mythos? It is something I want to play, I just have a huge pile in front of it.
Sundered is also another game with a not widely known Mythos setting, and the final boss is one of the Elders (or the last remnants of your humanity, depending on the path you chose through the game)

It has a quite Lovecraftian setting, although there's no direct reference to the Mythos until the ending of the game, where you discover the *SPOILER REDACTED* origin of the Pandoravirus.

I thought it was available from their own site somehow? Could be wrong, not remembering. Also not clear to me if it would be DRM-free (worth buying) or just a Scheme key (useless to me). I had been looking forward to it coming here DRM-free for a couple years but who knows if we will ever see it.
Maybe it's shameful but I never read anything written by Lovecraft. :) I like fantasy, but not necessarily horrors and that's probably why I never reached for any book written by this author. The truth is that currently I have time to read books only on weekends and the list is quite long... As for games, I still have Dark Corners of the Earth in my backlog. And it's a wonderful title from what I've heard.

Quite an interesting game. Thank you for pointing it out!

Then I recommend you read "The Lurker in the Threshold" as an amazing starting point. It has the basic ingredients of his style.

If you are interested in an old familiy mistery and the horror genre you should love it. I think Games like Undying, Alone in the Dark or Scratches were freely inspired in that book.
