Is it normal for certain games to run that require administrator privileges? I76, for example, requires admin privs on both my Windows 10 and Windows 10 Pro machines. Tried both the website installer and using GoG Galaxy, same result.

For Interstate 76, yes it appears you have to start the game as admin with windows 10:

That appears to be a game issue though, not a GoG one:

I would also think it may depend on where you install the game on your hard drive.

Might be helpful if you mention what is occurring when you try to start a specific game and what happens when you try.

You may also want to take this up in the individual game subforums:

Game specific Forums along the left hand side.

For example, the Interstate series:

Good luck

Yes, running as admin is a very common "fix" for older games in newer versions of windows. As long as you're not Jolly Rogering I wouldn't think twice about running as admin.

Also, I forgot all about interstate 76. Damn I had fun with that game as a kid.

Edit: Had to link the intro tiny was talking about vvvvv

Best intro in gaming. Well, maybe 2nd best to Homeworld.
i manually disable all gog game tweaks. works fine. i dont know why theyy even bother
In my experience with Windows 7, changing it to Compatibility to XP SP3 usually removed the need for admin, as running like that should be a last resort.

Windows 10... don't know....
