Do these games have an ending?

Densetsu: Do these games have an ending?
It seems they do provide you with a primary goal yet allow you to carry on afterwards for as long as you like:

So I guess the overall design is quite similar to that of Torchlight.

It's more accurate to say that Depths of Peril has a victory condition like a strategy game (defeat or ally all other forces) rather than a final boss like a Diablo.

That's about right. I was able to "win" Din's Curse by saving enough towns to redeem my poor wretched soul, but after that I was given the chance to continue on for as long as I liked. I haven't played Depths of Peril in a very, very long time so I can't rightly remember, but I'm sure that it plays out the same way, too.

Hey, that's awfully kind of you Densetsu (+1) but I'm not a Steam user so I'll have to politely decline your generous offer. :)

That's unfortunate. Since you politely decline I politely accept your polite declination.

As I found all replies helpful, I did a random draw from 1 to 3 to select a solution. Random.org picked number 1. Thanks again for the info, much appreciated.

Are you sure that you can't mark the others as solutions as well? It might have been a bug but I've seen it done at least once. :)

I'd be happy to, but sadly I can't, the option to mark additional posts isn't there.
