Hey -

I joined here because, well, GOG gave away a few great games - Dungeon Keeper Gold & Mount & Blade come to mind. I really only started to care about this site because Abandonia started linking here and I had a choice for the 'abandoned' games I wanted - pay, pirate, or give up.

So, are there any giveaways scheduled, or is that never happening again, thanks to movies, and galaxy, and GOG growing well beyond what it ever should have been?

In the going on 7 years I have been here, GOG has offered probaly 10-12 freebies (that I am certain of, there may have been more), quite often centered around holidays like Christmas and the store-wide sales that those bring. I would not be surprised if they continue that tradition, but as is GOG's way, they aren't going to outright tell us that, though they may drop a hint on occasion.

If I were to guess, the next one might be if they do a big summer sale. When that is or if there will be a freebie is anyone's guess.

This is not a torrent site, if you want something for FREE, go elsewhere. you joined for FREE games!. there are giveaways you can enter, but with your attitude, I doubt you'd get anything.

Actually, it's funny how some of these sales/promos turn out -- one of them I stuck to, like glue, and got 3 or 4 freebies.

Wasn't too well for the last Insomnia one though, so missed just about everything! :-)

EDIT: And to echo the post above, just don't expect freebies as some kind of right.

There are so many things about that OP that both trouble and puzzle me, but the one that seems to stick out is, "...beyond what it ever should have been..."

I can't even come up with a 'tinyE smart ass line' for that it is so fucking beyond my level of comprehension. Maybe if I dropped acid or lobotomized myself it might make more sense.

I just took it to mean "beyond selling old games", but I can sort of see how it might be taken in a different context.

frankly i couldn't be assed to download every single game on abandonia. backlog too large, alway feel like replaying MoM and Diablo again, real life gets in the way etc etc... i didn't even register to gain access to their juicey ISO vaults.

Oh? I didn't even knew that he had posted today, i was going for his previous threads also asking for free games from gog...
