rotorde: Maybe I'm in the minority here but I always check the sub-forums before purchasing a game so I would prefer them to stay.
I do too. This is actually precisely why I started this topic: because often I check them and the problem is, checking them isn't useful if there isn't anything in them.
I have 30 or so favourited, and I can see if a new post is made in them (turn white), but if I were to do this for the 200+ games I got, it would not be feasible.
Pajama: Edit: Actually the knowledge contained in the sub-forum can be second to none when needing advice, fixes, etc.
and questions are usually answered a lot quicker than in the GD forum.
In, the more active one, definitely. But those make up 10% or so of the games sub forums. Try asking a question in the less active ones (where you get a 1 post/month or so), you'll be lucky if you get a response within days, if ever. Examples:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/calling_all_defenders_quest_players _ Sang Froid. Easy question to which anyone who finished the game can provide the answer. No reply in 3 weeks. Because no one visits the forum

Pajama: and I would hate to see them no longer available....
Not removed. Just made easier to access and navigate.
