morolf: Kind of questionable when he just rolled up those 500 year old letters and stuffed them in his pocket, that can't be good for their conservation.

It belongs in an ancient ruin!

Well that's getting bookmarked for later*.

Breja: There are moments in Firefly and Serenity where things get serious, and Mal gets very serious indeed.
Fillion can act serious while he's standing still. He can act, no doubt. But to be Indy, you've got to be serious in the way you run, the way you move. Ford can absolutely do that, but Fillion moves like a comedy actor, even when he's trying to be serious. He's just fine with a gun (or space gun) in his hand, but that's not the Indy character. Even his most serious action bits as Mal - which to my mind are his interactions with the assassin - are either serious dialog before they start hitting each other in a tight frame, or quick gunplay. Like I said, bit of a Fillion fan, so I wouldn't particularly mind him getting a crack at the role, but I don't see anything in Two Guys, Firefly/Serenity, Dr. Horrible, or Castle that makes me think he's got Indy in him.

Is whatshisface a contender for Indy? Disney has the bankroll to cast Christian Bale or Matt Bomer or Keanu Reeves or really anyone as Indy. Or just sieve thirty thousand relative no-names until they find a perfect fit. Shame if they cast whf.

Breja: I'd disagree. There are moments in Firefly and Serenity where things get serious, and Mal gets very serious indeed. Honestly, he's a character with a much darker background and a much more serious side than Indy. He just doesn't show it often. But when he does, Fillion nailed those moments.

And anyway, he'd still definately be better then whatshisface from Solo (much as I enjoyed the movie anyway) :D

nightcraw1er.488: On that, is solo in any way worth watching. Seen a trailer and poster and it doesn't look good. Also on the subject of pouty faced teenage twats on screen, I see a series called krypton advertised. I assume it is dreadful?
Solo is a very fun adventure film. Only big issue is the actor never feels like a young Han (Lando does however), he doesn't have anything close to Ford's charisma. He isn't boring though, which was what I got from pictures and teasers.

I'm sure he's not anymore, not after Solo crashed and burned at the box office. For now, I don't think they're actually re-casting Indy at all, at least not for that upcoming movie. It's just me speculating this way and that.

Elmofongo: I wonder if they noticed the irony that they casted NATHEN Fillion as NATHEN Drake?

Again, the same reason. You have never heard anyone say Pronunciation as "ProNOUNciation?" to your ears?

Actually I thought that it's spelled "pronounciation" until very recently myself. I was quite shocked when I discovered my error, lol.

So in favour of nouns?
