Elmofongo: I died from the first enemies I faced in any Might and Magic game.
And having at least seen Might and Magic VI to VIII, HOLY SHIT I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH TRASH/MOBS OF ENEMIES IN ONE FIELD ALONE!!!!'
Seriously in the starting village there was like 15+ Orcs just outside of it.
M&M VII had a battlefield full of trash.
How am I gonna safetly get through all that?
Your characters will get very hard time in the beginning (and that feels cool), but eventually they can become very powerful. We speak about no level cap here (well, it is at 16k+...), tons of buffs, mass nukes like Armageddon, etc. I especially underline MM VI, as it gives more freedom in character development and more interesting dungeons (and world is much bigger than in 7,8).
You will easily mass nuke those puny goblins at level 10+ :)
And you didn't see real things yet, you didn't see gong which summons 100 (literally) skeletons, you didn't see rooms with no empty space, full of liches, beholders, mages. etc. Now this is sick. But it only makes it more exciting to come back there X levels later and AoE everything to the ground (all zones respawn after some time).
But on start, don't pull all "trash" at once, lure them gently, few monsters at a time :)
