Not sure what they did in order for Paypal to pull their service from them

but the service they use for Credit Card purchases are rejecting orders.

Getting Main Assemlby
Here in NZ it's pretty much the same price as on Steam right now

What should I do? Fight with third party credit card manager until my details get hacked
or just lickety split through Steam's checkout?
Maybe it is only temporary?

i had a couple of online payments rejected too these past months
I just went to buy off them today and noticed Paypal is no longer an option I'm based in AU. Thought it was a bug or something. Does that mean it took your money but rejected the order or was it just outright rejecting it?

No, fortunately the rejection wasn't that bad..ha ha

A day or two prior I went through the new CC checkout successfully

It was when I returned a few days later for Main Assembly it gave me the finger
and told me my cash wasn't green enough.

Funnily enough it was working fine for me on the same day. So I dunno what they did. But I'd still prefer if they used Paypal.
Today I realized that the Paypal option is back again.

That's funny because in the time of covid apparently my green money isn't digital enough :P go figure.
Out of curiousity I bought a cheap game to add to my Gamersgate library. I got this message on my GG page after paying:

"Your order has been selected for manual review.
Manual review might take up to a 24 hours (generally happens quicker).
This is an additional step of protection that allows us to provide the safest services to both the players and the publishers of the games.
Manual reviews are a rare exception for purchases in our shop.
We apologize for the delay, and hope for your understanding."

Strange. I've never encountered this 'manual review' thing before when paying with PayPal. Does GG think my buy is a strange one as I haven't bought anything there since 2018?

Gamersgate has never been a good store by the way, but has gotten even worse since I last visited it. There's no Shelf view anymore where you could choose what games to display and in what order. Only the list view of all games remains, but a lot of games are lacking a thumbnail, instead displaying a '?'. And load times of the library has always been a problem with Gamersgate but the site does feel slower then ever. It sometimes takes over a minute for a page to load, a remembrance of the internet of the beginning of this century.

Highly likely, speaking from experience.

I think, but this is pure theorizing on my part, that their system flags orders from accounts if something changes (IP address, etc.). In my case, I placed an order while browsing on my phone and I know the phone's IP was different than the one assigned to my PC by my ISP at the time. Obviously your experience will differ, but if anything has changed between your last visit and now then that would support the theory.
Pretty sure I have a bunch of random crap on GG that I haven't looked at in years. I think I own the Drankensang games there? Same thing with Amazon, they mostly did away with selling anything but keys yet I bought some random DRM free stuff on there years ago like Dark Messiah.

Time to back all this stuff up I guess.

"HDD Space: .8GB."

Oh.
What a big fuckup! The installer asks for my accountname, but my accountname is larger than the field for the accountname, so I get a "wrong username/password" error because I can't fill out my whole name! Time to ask their support for help. I'll let you know how it works out. My respect for Gamersgate lessens by the hour, with this re-introduction after 2 years.
A couple of my orders there had to be reviewed manually because I use their store so rarely.
Works fine for me here in Denmark. Just purchased Sniper GW 3 bundle.
Epitaph: "Oh yeah, I forgot about them."
Paypal sucks and gamersgate was good for people if there were cheap Steam games that they didn't want to buy direct from steam.
The downside is they've lost some games or converted them to DRM for new buyers.
