HereForTheBeer: Miss having a cat around the place. Last two succumbed to illness and about ripped us apart. Gonna be a while yet, I think, before we get another. Probably wait until

passes on. Purring freaks her out.
Awww...I had rabbit ever since I was born. I was always told they don't live old (the admitted number according to people is around 4-5 years) which is untrue as mine, as well as plenty others, tends to live around 10-12 years. 12 years is a long time and it's never easy to loose any. I lost my youngest one last year, 4 years old, to an illness. It's always difficult to see the others rabbits coping the lost.
I'm not even sure I know what it is to live without animals. I did it one year when I was studiyng and it wasn't a good experience.
On the plus side, my cat absolutely love to tick off my rabbits. Creatures that seem to terrify her when they spring to a strategic cuddle attack.
