So I finally got this game installed and running on this PC.

Never played this game before, but tested it, and it seems to play more like The Dark Project and Metal Age then Deadly Shadows.

Even the attack animation of the Blackjack is exactly the same as the first 2 games then Deadly Shadows.

So anyways. I have now been made aware that this game is essentially blank slate for people to download fan made missions.

I am guessing this article is showing all the fanmade missions ever made for this game, but to anyone who has played this game before, which mission series do you recommend and which ones do I avoid?
Tears of Saint Lucia is a good introduction to the game

I remember No honor among thieves being good

Thief's den

Also Crucible of Omen. It was supposed to be the official campaign but I think it was canceled? First mission is released and it was amazing. I really hope the development continues
This is the full mission list (you linked to the page specifically on series): https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Fan_Missions_for_The_Dark_Mod

It depends on what kinds of mission you prefer (burglary versus tomb raiding versus experimental missions, etc.), but I'd go for Moonbo's missions as the most likely to impress.

Other series of note (some ongoing): Penny Dreadful by Melan, The Accountant and Shadows of Northdale both by Goldwell, William Steele by grayman, Volta by Kingsal, and Dragofer's missions. Bienie's Chronicles of Skulduggery too. The Ulysses missions might be the best showcase for Sotha's work.

No Hono(u)r Among Thieves was a big collaborative project in the earlier days of the mod; sadly it ends on an annoying cliffhanger that'll probably never be resolved.

The Heart of Lone Salvation is still worth a look, though the series it's #3 in is uneven (if I remember rightly, #1 was basically a demo, and #4 has a good mansion but not enough to do in the city section owing to mapper burnout).

And if you want Something Completely Different, try Swing.
