I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to skip the intro movies in SGW1. Pressing Escape and Enter don't work at all. I checked the PCGamingWiki and the GOG SGW forum, but haven't found any answers.

I don't have it installed right now to test, but try going here:

\Game\Data\Menu\Movies

And rename any file that looks like an intro file.

So I deleted the intro.wmv and logo.wmv files, but that just brings up a screen and then the keyboard and mouse stop working. Do you know if there is a way to tell the game to not detect a controller?

Not sure.

I wouldn't recommend deleting, btw, just renaming. Just in case it fails, you can rename them back.
