what will be the next will they sell groceries car part? obviously people want to buy those too

Magmarock: I've spoken to people about this before. There are sites that specialize in these kind of games. I don't understand why they have to be bought here when you can get them from there. Most of them are DRM free to.
Revere question: Why shouldn't they? Why treat porn games like they're some kind of evil anathema that should only exist in a quiet corner. Don't get me wrong; The nature of sex and how every culture treats it means anything showing the hard act of sex needs have -some- clarity. It shouldn't be right next to movies that lack such a detail. But, why push it into a corner where it can't exist even anywhere in the same land as non-sexual material?

Yes it needs to be very clear it's porn. I don't want the unpleasant situation of reading a fantasy adventure novel for college that suddenly become hardcore porn for several pages(Uprooted, if you're wondering) but I also don't want to have such a persecution that we start refusing even the right to be on a store shelf at all.

Magmarock: Yeah I shouldn't have said that. I mean there are idiots on both sides. But I am not calling for the banning off porn from the internet. But I do want to keep GOG a game focused site. Porn games are not meant to be played in the same way other games are.

Fair point honestly and a good analogy. Though I content porn games are still games. Just like a porn movie shouldn't be banned from ever being in a store selling movies. Let's not go so far as to declare just because the game is made to play with one hand, there's no game at all. If that were the case Gothic would be in trouble.

Apologies for the late reply. The fist half of your paragraph actually contradicts the first half. Statements like "Why treat porn games like they're some kind of evil anathema that should only exist in a quiet corner." Are kind of answered by statements like "It shouldn't be right next to movies that lack such a detail. But, why push it into a corner where it can't exist even anywhere in the same land as non-sexual material?"

For much the same reason it shouldn't next to it normal movies. Phonograph serves a different purpose. Unlike movies games actually do challenge your mind. Pron is like junk food. You consume it and than throw it away. Junk food should not be sold in a health foods shop.

Don't get to health foods store much, do ya? Half the crap on the shelves is made of sugar, fat or salt. Just because it's organic, doesn't mean it's good for you.

Also, comparing GOG to a health food store? HAHAHAHAHA!

And, the debate about porn, values, Christianity? I haven't heard a new thought from either side since porn came via video tape or magazines in a brown wrapper. Pro tip? Adults gave up arguing this long ago. Try a more interesting question, like should toilet paper rolls tear off from the top or the bottom. That one might generate an interesting discussion. (ps, those who like to tear from the bottom will burn in eternal flame)

Well than Health food stores don't sound like they're very good. Maybe we should try and not let GOG end up like that eh? I don't have a problem with porn being bought elsewhere I just don't think it should be sold here for reasons I have already gone over, so you can just read my earlier posts for yourself if you want to. If you still can't see where I'm coming from, not much else I can do for you.

There is a great solution, have multiple different gog sites, however each one only sells certain games. For example, Gogadventure.com sells games that have a story that slowly builds and ends. Then Gogshooters.com where all shooters are placed.

...And GoGFapp, well, no description needed for this one, I guess...

Yeah, I guess we can add every game into that site. I mean, there is a rule 3 4 on almost everything.

That's actually an abysmally terrible 'solution,' not a great one.

GOG already has a very tiny customer base.

Sub-dividing the customer base into even smaller subsections would surely lead to GOG's permanent demise within a matter of months.

Anyway, there is no 'problem' in the first place with GOG releasing AO games, therefore no 'solution' is required to a non-existent problem.
