I just learned, that new users cannot post links apparently - and I did learn it the hard way.

I clicked new post, wrote a longish text including a link and when I pressed the "post" button the "processing" message appeared for a short time and then reverted back to the initial "post" button.

There was no message whatsoever what the problem was. If possible, add this. Would have spared me half an hour of forum searching ;-)

To make clear: If you EDIT an existing post to include a link, it will tell you that you are not allowed to do so. It is only for new posts that this message is missing.

I think this has been mentioned before but no-one has done anything about it. FYI, this also happens with unbalanced tags (but only sometimes).

Yeah it would make sense to include a message so that new users know about it.

Tauto, could you please stop that crap once and for all? Its not just ppl completely uninterested in whatever crusade you're on getting annoyed but considering the spam amount would probably be a problem for the forum archiving process.
