Is anyone else experiencing slow download speeds since the recent crash? I was getting in upwards of 12.5 mb/s, now it dips to below 1 mb/s, which sucks since I just bought Cyberpunk on sale, lol. 12 hours to go.... :P
There was a crash?

Shmacky-McNuts: There was a crash?
A few days ago, yes. It was all over the subreddit. GOG was inaccessible for a short time.

It sure would be nice to be able to download the game I purchased, GOG, instead of dipping down to 16 kb/s. I had less than 2 hours to go, when suddenly I got a notice that my download failed, at almost 75% completed.

Why are you making us download a huge 109GB zip file for the legacy version when you could just have us download in small increments like in your 2.11 version?

Seriously, why?

I'm sorry, but this 11 kb/s isn't going to cut it. 119 days left to download.... Really? Fix your servers, please.

Well, I was hoping to get to enjoy my purchase in the next couple of hours, but I guess that isn't happening any time soon. You really need to fix your servers, GOG.

Or how about for my trouble, you send me a hard copy of the game in the mail free of charge?

How about investing some of your money into your server backbone so we can get better download speeds? Cause this is just ridiculous.

I'm looking at a 3 hour download at full speed, but this dipping down to 16 kb/s and 119 days to download is just ludicrous.

Fix it or I'm going to get a refund.

Woohoo, 6.4 kb/s and 269 days to complete. Just awesome, GOG.

You know, I have a life. I work and am in college. I don't have 3/4 of a year to wait to get my game that I purchased...

Gog is reliably maxing my bandwidth unlike Steam which has been abysmal lately regardless of server region.

Have you tried a VPN to force peering with another server?
No, a VPN is too much trouble for me. I'll see how it goes. It's a huge download at 109GB. It kind of reminds me of back in the day using dialup and almost finishing a download only to get disconnected. :P
Nope, speeds are fine here. If you're using a web browser to download offline installers, use Galaxy instead, it's faster and more reliable. For downloading offline installers, that is, not installing games through Galaxy; I don't really do that.
Thank the gods I was able to get it. I've had compatibility issues with firefox with other things in the past. I used chrome this time and it went through.

Firefox is garbage.

Now I can't wait to finally play it!!!!
Interesting. The speeds have been crap, like 11 min. for just one 4 GB segment of Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Some are suggesting Firefox is to blame. I doubt that, but can't say it couldn't be.
Firefox, along with any other browser, usually works properly as long as there is no software conflict with addons or other browsers. Believe me... if there is such a general issue, they would be fixing it... way faster than GoG.

With GoG it totally depends on the current status quo at any given moment. In term there is a huge sale and at weekend, the server can indeed become slow but in general the servers are sufficiently fast... sometimes even faster than Steam.

More critical is redundancy and sometimes lack of updates. In the past there was many issues because of server malfunctioning, although most of those issues should be fixed yet.
