That's a cool idea.

But an even better idea would have been to give them a new script with new dialogues that aren't in the game.

That way people who didn't yet play the game will be able to watch it since the new script wouldn't spoil the game (like this old script does), and also it would add something very new & interesting for people who've already played the game to get even more out of it.

I guess the video was aimed at those who already played the game and I watched the video and can assure you that it is special - no matter if you know the lines or not. Also the dev answers many questions about certain branches and the voice actors are explaining much of their work as well. This is not just meant as a fun idea - it was basically a developer/voice actors commentary on the actual game.

Since then I finished the game two times (or more like 2.5 with save scumming), then watched 100% playthrough of my favorite let's player, and now finally watched this stream. I was mostly interested in Q&A parts, but live voice acting was so great that ended watching the whole thing. The amount of talent in the handful of people responsible for all this is unbelievable. I honestly can't remember when last time any piece of media affected and impressed me so much on so many levels as Slay the Princess, but that was truly special experience for me and I still can't stop thinking about it. Therefore announcement of free content update and extended cut of the game instantly made my day!
