< * mark as solution > TWIMC @ CD Projekt CS: This is the result of allowing MS & Steam employees to highjack your forums. It seems that the MS one has been removed (??) but the other is still here to drive away customers. A simple fix is: 1) Find out who these fatherless imps are and remove them so customers like myself do not have to deal with them - we have enough headaches in the real world to put up with more irritation in attempted recreation like video games. Also 2) for the nearly $ billion $ company to sell games tech ready.

These steps will help maintain customers and the bottom line $$$. I will simply assume that games lack controller support in the future and not buy them here ... Further consultation is available upon request and fees.

" I have issued a refund for this order, please keep in mind, it can take up to a few business days before the money is actually returned to your account.

Have a nice day!

gilgamesk: But I certainly did not search for Elder Scrolls Series, just Skyrim (I forgot Elder Scrolls was part of the title). .
You have been a user since 2010. Do you really not know how to get to a game forums? Every game has a page on gog and on that page there is "Links -> Forum discussion" which sends you there. No need to search or anything... Also by default every game has a forum. They make it the moment they add the game to the store. Some of them when in series like Eldec Scrolls, Deus Ex etc get one for all games with some exceptions like Baldur's Gate 3.

2010: meaning I purchased my first game GOG title then. As you might notice above, some of us have better things to do than hang out on forums. IDK how the forums work, I was looking for tech info with GOG providing none, just directing me to community forums, populated by imps, like you (clearly showing how much they care about CS). Also, as you quoted, I searched for Skyrim with no result. More important: why are you here bitching at me now? Go solve a problem in the world, provide positive information, or get lost. Maybe you work for Steam too (?) or do you actually work for GOG (?). What a joke.

With that attitude no wonder you are not getting any help. I wish you all the best.

gilgamesk: It would be nice if game makers would fix the simplest issues. PS4 apparently works for Steam Skyrim SE as there are a few mods to replace buttons (but this might be just for consoles?). Neither PS2 or PS4 controller is recognized for Skyrim AE GOG. Has anyone successfully programmed the controls with a PS controller or is emulation the only way, and if so which program is best as all these options are old utilities??? Thanks for any informed support.
I'm using a PS2 controller, and most games don't support it very well, either on GOG or other platforms, even though both my computer and the games recognizes it as a PS3 controller. So, for the most part I use the aforementioned x360ce, Xbox 360 controller emulator, and I haven't had any problems with it yet.

Used to use AntiMicro/X more, and bind the controller buttons to the keyboard, but more and more games don't let you choose between kb/mouse and controller manually, so there's often conflict between the default controller binds and the AntiMicro setup.

If there's any conflict between x360ce and the game's default binds, you can just install the HID Guardian through x360ce, and it'll make the emulator hide the game's default binds.

Edit: AntiMicroX is great if a game doesn't support controllers at all.

Thank you (this is what help looks like). It would have been helpful but I moved on already. This social media cesspool is not worth the headache.

See how helpful everyone was??

You'll also note that the repository is archived. But not that it matters.

Insinuating that I'm some kind of saboteur from Microsoft (I'm a hardline Linux user) or Steam employee (I'd love it, but I don't live in Seattle.) suggests that OP never wanted the help.

Mate, we both tried to help (as did somebody else) but they decided to go on weird rants about stuff from the start - rather than making the problem more specific (such as the steam controller overlay) so they can go play with the GOGbear curry.

Edited the link in the above post to avoid any confusion, with an added note regarding the use of AntiMicroX.

Luckily, if someone happened to use the link there's a pretty obvious notification on the latest version of AntiMicro with a redirect to AntiMicroX on both the web page and inside the app itself.

And if someone happens to use the original AntiMicro I'm sure they'll be perfectly fine, seeing as plenty of people even used the 2016 version for years without any issues.

I'd still recommend using AntiMicroX though, on the fact that it has a portable version alone.
