These steps will help maintain customers and the bottom line $$$. I will simply assume that games lack controller support in the future and not buy them here ... Further consultation is available upon request and fees.
" I have issued a refund for this order, please keep in mind, it can take up to a few business days before the money is actually returned to your account.
...
Have a nice day!

You have been a user since 2010. Do you really not know how to get to a game forums? Every game has a page on gog and on that page there is "Links -> Forum discussion" which sends you there. No need to search or anything... Also by default every game has a forum. They make it the moment they add the game to the store. Some of them when in series like Eldec Scrolls, Deus Ex etc get one for all games with some exceptions like Baldur's Gate 3.

Used to use AntiMicro/X more, and bind the controller buttons to the keyboard, but more and more games don't let you choose between kb/mouse and controller manually, so there's often conflict between the default controller binds and the AntiMicro setup.
If there's any conflict between x360ce and the game's default binds, you can just install the HID Guardian through x360ce, and it'll make the emulator hide the game's default binds.
Edit: AntiMicroX is great if a game doesn't support controllers at all.

A fine enough thought, but...
You'll also note that the repository is archived. But not that it matters.
Insinuating that I'm some kind of saboteur from Microsoft (I'm a hardline Linux user) or Steam employee (I'd love it, but I don't live in Seattle.) suggests that OP never wanted the help.
I gave them two choices of very direct solutions, and...

Mate, we both tried to help (as did somebody else) but they decided to go on weird rants about stuff from the start - rather than making the problem more specific (such as the steam controller overlay) so they can go play with the GOGbear curry.

Edited the link in the above post to avoid any confusion, with an added note regarding the use of AntiMicroX.
Luckily, if someone happened to use the link there's a pretty obvious notification on the latest version of AntiMicro with a redirect to AntiMicroX on both the web page and inside the app itself.
And if someone happens to use the original AntiMicro I'm sure they'll be perfectly fine, seeing as plenty of people even used the 2016 version for years without any issues.
I'd still recommend using AntiMicroX though, on the fact that it has a portable version alone.
