SkiFree is now available for free at that platform for zooming. I'm not sure on the rules for linking to it so I'll leave that out.
Experience the Ski craze that captured the attention of a generation. SkiFree is here to transport you back to the 1990s, with the pure visceral fun of skiing down a hill by the power of your mouse and/or keyboard. It’s just you, a pair of Ski’s and a mountain…. also a lot of crazy obstacles to avoid, and an Abominable Snow Monster. Yeah.
Perform stunts for points, race against the clock, or try out slalom, freestyle, or tree slalom trials. Don’t bet on escaping that Snow Monster forever though, he is hungry and relentless.
Microsoft employee and creator, Chris Pirih, created SkiFree, on his home computer, using the C programming language. Originally intended for his own education and development. However, a Microsoft program manager saw the game and insisted on including it in the 1991 "Windows Entertainment Pack", which quickly became a sensation among Windows users.
In this standalone version, you no longer need Windows 3.1 to have a jolly time. You can now play the game on modern windows platforms! So listen to the calling, and SkiFree!
