My favorite space 4X to this day (it being an RTS only adds to the flavor), and I've played a lot, including the very first Master of Orion, Homeworld etc.

I guess stay away if you want a grandiose story-driven RTS with a focus on campaigns, because this isn't it. Sticking to the classic 4X formula, it's basically skirmish or multiplayer. But it's very, very good at both.

Such a shame stardrive never managed to come to full adulthood, the blackbox mod does try to correct a lot of things though

I gave sins 2 a try right in the beginning, but it was too much of distant worlds 2, in terms of my forecast of the expected update progress and end result blablabla . . . and with distant worlds 2 already taking in a 'important place', you really only need to have one of those games in your life yep yep yep

Undeserved; bellyaching about now purchasable DLC. Also very few reviews because GOG is a competent company who knows how to handle editions.
