Hi all.

I have cable and for the most part I am OK with the pricing and shows I can see. However, I do want to see older shows and movies I wasn't able to see when they aired.
That being said. For those who have Apple, Amazon or the other set box, is it worth to get?

I have Amazon Prime and and I think it's cool as an extra way to see stuff that my cable doesn't have at the time I want to see. But it is limited still on the content as to what I can see for free. I've been toying with the idea of getting the Apple TV or Amazon box.
Being honest here: I torrent.

I don;t have regular access to the internet and therefor I have to download and save to watch anything.

The services you list are streaming and not something I am able to use.

edit: I replied because I;m one of the folks who don;t like streaming. If I;m going to go ahead and watch something that I paid for, Id rather keep a copy of it so I can watch it again if I choose to do so.

We use a combination of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu. We're paying a fraction of what we would for cable, and we have a significantly larger variety of shows and movies that we're actually interested in. Netflix has a better selection of movies; Hulu does better with TV series. Amazon Prime comes in second in both areas, but we already had it for several other things (primarily shipping for my wife's business), so we kind of consider Prime Video a free perk and not something we're explicitly paying for.

For the set top box, we use Roku. It's one of the easiest streaming devices to set up and has support for darn near everything.
