I have noticed that Silent 3 has about half the votes SH1 or 2 get on Gog Dreamlist.I am wondering if that's because the game is less known or because it had a pc version a long time ago.

I was unable to play it back then and currently the pc versions sell at very high prices.

Do you think the game is seen as less iconic or got less marketting back then? I would like to play it on gog

SH3 just didn't have the more mainstream impact that the first two games did. The original SH doesn't play particularly well, but it's the start of the series. The second game was the one that got people talking because it was a huge step up for survival horror and came out at the right time (2001 for the PS2 and a little later for the Xbox) to capture a lot of people who bought the newly launched consoles at the time.

SH3, meanwhile, was more iterative. It's a great game and I like a lot of things about the game better, but it came out a few years later and didn't switch things up too much. It was never going to have the same impact.

All that said... yes, it should absolutely be here. It likely won't happen, though, due to issues with the VA rights.

Wow really? What a shame as that is one of the best versions of Silent Hill on PC. It was optimized for PC just like the room afterwards.
Because the wishlist was poorly transferred over to the dreamlist, at best.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=Silent%20Hill%20

https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/?title=Silent%20Hill%203&sort=global_wishlist_votes_count&order=desc

Contrast accordingly.
