nATPatrick: Thanks! I have the Anthology CD, where it installs everything at once. I did eventually get the lag to stop but I can't seem to keep the sound in the process
I think I may have found a solution to the missing sound problem. Try moving the directory "C:\Program Files\Digital Tome\Siege Of Avalon\ArtLib\Resources\Audio" to "C:\Program Files\Digital Tome\Siege Of Avalon\Audio". Hopefully you'll now have sound :)
If anyone has the interest in building this games themselves, based on the original opened source - that just got quite easy, and I will be working on getting other things fixed in the engine. I did a blog post with reference to the GitHub repository: goto url: fixedbycode.blogspot.com/2019/03/siege-of-avalon-lifted.html - and if you check out the README on the GitHub repo - it guides you to the prerequisites to get it running on Window 7/8/10.
Pardon me, for necroing this thread, but I've been wondering if this game could run in DOS? How great would it be, to run this game on phone?!

Run in DOS? On a phone? Think you may have mistyped or something. Do you perhaps mean DOSBox? As for phone, nope, I like my eyesight, wouldn’t want to spend 100hours squinting at a tiny phone screen.
So I tried replaying it a few years back, but got stuck at the unicorn rescue quest. Is there any way to fix the bizarre scaling the game has?

The barbarians kept killing the unicorn in a couple of hits before I could even get there.

It's a Windows game, released in 2000.
Hey, there were games, still being released, running in DOS, back in the day.

I guess some devs were terrified of Y2K Bug, but oh well.
