I've never watched GoT. I can't help but wonder if it's a kind of prerequisite for enjoying the upcoming SGoT. I mean, SGoT might take for granted that you know the characters, or play with your expectations from what happened in GoT. On the other hand, it would also be fun to watch SGoT with a blank slate.

I've read the interview, but it didn't really make me any wiser.

If that number on squidgameofthrones.com is a countdown to the release, as some claims, then I should still have some time to watch GoT, or at least some of it.
