It's on sale on Steam until October 12.

Before buying it, I have some questions (mainly for anyone who's already played it):
-Does it use Steam DRM for the single-player mode? (does it require the Steam client to run? see https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_drmfree_games_on_steam/page1)
-Are characters deleted or reset when they die, with no option to disable "hardcore" mode?
-Are there any particularly bad game design/balance problems in PvE and/or co-op?
-Is the game solo-friendly? I know there are plenty of games advertised as "co-op or solo" where you are severely disadvantaged if you solo.
-Are there any other game-breaking problems? (errors, crashes, getting stuck, etc.)

(Before you downvote me for buying from Steam, please be aware that Counter Spell isn't available on GOG yet. Even if it was, GOG doesn't accept any of my payment options.)
