Landeril: He doesn't sign up for things. If he had, I wouldn't have asked, and I had to force him to get himself a separate gog

Miaghstir: Heh, alright. It was meant to be informational rather than ... whatever it may have seemed ... there have been people that have asked about wether such a function exists (or if they found it, how it works).
Meh we did it because of birthday things. Easier just to buy it on the account from what I've seen lol. Though, He doesn't play what I play.

Now, back to hunting contests and guides
If I remember correctly your friend would only need an e-mail address to sign up and he could even create an anonymous e-mail address for this purpose if he is worried about the consequences of signing up anywhere. GOG is one of the few places on the internet where you don't have to give your lifestory in order to buy something. So I don't really see what the problem is, unless your friend has a phobia of internet accounts but thatt's obviously not the case or else he wouldn't dare to access yours. ;)

Aha... in the FAQ page, they clearly stated (twice):
http://www.gog.com/support/website_help/downloads_and_games

"... you're not allowed to share your GOG.com account with other users as only you are entitled to download items from your account."

They didn't say if they'd terminate your account, but just out of respect... you know what to do :')

Good job necroing this three-and-a-half-year-old thread, thank you, we really needed that.

I bet everyone have been holding their breath for the definitive answer to this conundrum for the past 3,5 years, so well done you.

What the hell was the point of digging this back up out of the earth?
It's a reminder to the people. Or maybe he has some superpowers and someone had the same question and didn't know how to find the answer. He made it easy for them.

Mmmh... the hell was to get someone like you to comment on it to, you know, keep it alive.
Geez, I just felt like commenting on it after I found it upon researching the topic. (I posted here really for myself, so I could easily find this later) I didn't look at the date. I seriously didn't know it would upset the balance of the universe!
But thank you, you could have just walked past by the grave and ignored it. Instead you put some stones and flowers on it, and even left a note. I didn't know there are such nice people around here.

We are really starting to stretch the term "asynchronous communication" here!

(Should I have waited couple of weeks or years before posting this?)
It's ok. I'm sure it's just a malfunctioning flux capacitor or time vortex manipulator.
I want to know, I really do. Sharing is caring and always between friends. If the friend is a girl then the caring is sharing. Sharing the love.

Now that that's over, can someone tell me if we are still ghostwise?

I'm starting to assume he simply lives in an alternate timeflow, the over three years from Leroux' post and the twenty-odd days from OlivawR's may both be experienced as no more than a day from Sadouness' point of view. Perhaps we should be a bit more accepting of those that have transcended the constraints of linear time.

Cheap mail-order jewel! I knew I should have bought a real diamond.

Some decaf coffee could help solve part of the problem ;-)

Hmmm... Well i know i'm logged into GoG on this game computer which means my GF could easily (in theory) download any title i own at any time... Or just access it over the local network i have shared (making it sorta moot)... Although she doesn't go out of her way to get a game unless i direct her to them; Although she really likes Triple Town, Book of Unwritten Tales, and Terraria... Beyond that she doesn't touch the library really...

Although my personal views on sharing/holding an account with someone else (especially if they are buying as well) probably doesn't mean much; Not to mention the likelihood of both using the same game at the exact same time (effectively lending the game) as the library grows becomes smaller and smaller.

Yeah i know, murky water discussion...
Or Do whatever you want just don't brag about it in public.
