Youtube surprised me with a great little documentary about the national problems the US faced after introduced to mechanical farming. They essentially created a dessert, also because of ground conditions essentially creating storms, most of us i guess only know from movies ... Arrakis sandstorm or something and how this triggered a project we see today practised all over the world with maybe as its major example the 'green belt' in Africa a project funded by the world bank.

Check it out : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNT3aDnzd10
Well, my quest for US brand beer failed, i really thought Budweiser to be OG but no, Germany apparantly. There was also something called 'Bud' and had America written all over it but yea, bottled in Brussle so no. That's when i decided to go for a 'Mexican' and bought Corona

CaptainGyro: Not many people are responding with positivity about their areas besides me, Mr Zim, and Catventurer, but that oks. I'm buzzed on beer and that makes me appeciate Wisconsin even more. You go Beer State! THANK YOU!

Being buzzed brings back memories of walking along the beach that I mentioned in my first post. A lot of people who visit Chicago are surprised at the beaches and size of Lake Michigan. Like I said yeah, it's not the ocean but people who visit say it LOOKS like the ocean.

And what's so great about the ocean anyway , huh buddy? You can't even drink the water and there are aquatic non-human serial killers lurking beneath the surface. The crime rate caused by non-humans in fresh water is way lower than it is in the ocean. Ever think about that Mr Ocean View ?(Yeah I'm getting beligerent and defensive right now. You go Beer State! I apologize to everybody else)

Anyways, here's the beach area I always enjoyed walking along. The vid gives a pretty good representation. It's just a lot of fun to walk along if you like kind of a lively beachy thing

Mr. Zim: It seems we are blessed, and i have to admit i'm a bit surprised that this post managed to evolve past the normal outings of what i think is Gen Z behaviour ;-)

Maybe i'll grab a US beer when i'm out for shopping today, just to celebrate life \o/ \o/ \o/
I like America enough but seriously don't drink mainbrand American beer like Coors, Bud etc. I haven't touched it in decades unless somebody was offering it. Corona's not bad.Miller and Coors I can't even drink unless I have to be polite. I don't really drink much beer but if I do it's an IPA at least. I don't even have a brand really, I just grab the best I can find at Meijer grocery. The beer I had was called Big Juicy Beer Hug. Solid buzz from one beer. Had another one just now. I might be an alcoholic now even though I just said I don't drink much.

Cheers, but if you're looking for something American, don't go for something mainstream. Go a little off the path, maybe a cider or wine. We have many famous wineries.
